The course starts with a general introduction to the Old Testament after which we will study various types of literature that we find there. The format for the sessions will be a mixture of lecture, discussion and exercises and some work during the week will be necessary.
The aim of the course is not simply to impart knowledge, but to encourage all of us to a deeper understanding of God’s Word so that we may be transformed in our everyday lives to be more like Jesus.
While not essential, you will gain more from the course if you read the core book and perhaps one or two of the other recommendations.
